

Read this other stickied discussion for more information about that. In the meanwhile, launch the game via F4SE loader. The team behind F4SE is usually releasing an update of that within a week. It would not work anymore after an update. However, be aware that when Fallout 4 gets an update, ensure that it does not get updated automatically. It is purely optional, but there are good mods there that requires it. You can ignore the "merging plugins" because that is a feature for experienced modders when they have 100+ mods. The latter is more complex to start with, but is a more robust and better tool than Vortex. Unfortunately, the info there is a bit out-dated. Then read the other sections such as "load order", "LOOT" and a mod configuration tool. If you want to start with modding, you have to enable it first.
